Eastern Little League requires an annual volunteer commitment by each participating athlete's family. Four (4) hours per family will be required, this is separate from the required team snack bar shifts. 

A $50 Volunteer Deposit will be collected at the time of registration and refunded when the commitment has been met.  

To receive your volunteer deposit sign up for any of the following league roles or committees.

  • Team Manager - Only 1 per team will get the volunteer refund
  • Coach/Assistant coach - Only 2 per team will get the volunteer refund. 
  • Team Parent - Only 1 per team will get the volunteer refund.
  • Team Scorekeeper - Keeps the official score book for the team. (Minor A, Majors and Junior Division.)
  • Snack Bar Opener and/or Closer - Open snack bar for volunteers, verify volunteers go through Opening Checklist, count and document opening deposit, and assist volunteers in closing the snack bar.
  • Umpire - Trained position. Umpire for Minor A, Majors and Junior games. 
  • Board Member  - We have the following open positions. Click here for a description of the positions.
    • Safety Officer
    • Information Officer
    • Fundraising Director
    • Division Director: T-Ball
    • Uniform Coordinator
  • Committee Members - Requires 4 hours per family for volunteer refund.
    • Fields and Facilities Committee 
    • Opening Day Committee
    • Pancake Breakfast Committee
    • Home Run Derby Committee 
    • Closing Ceremony Committee 
  • ALL Volunteers MUST have a passing background check before they can coach any player or work on the field or facilities. Click here to submit a background check. Only 1 background check per person is needed per season, even if you are volunteering in multiply roles. 


  • All Umpires, Managers and Asst. Coaches must attend training classes /mandatory meetings and be board approved.


  • All Team Parents, Team Scorekeeper, Snack Bar Opener/Closer must attend training/mandatory meeting.
